The Henley Company, LLC is an event management and concierge firm based in San Diego, California. We have over twelve years of experience producing corporate, community and political events in the legal, higher education and professional service industries. Our national and international event portfolio includes: client appreciation events, holiday parties, firework extravaganzas, seminars, executive outings, corporate banquets, wedding receptions, and multi-day conferences. We have personally had the opportunity to develop and coordinate events for diverse companies throughout California and the United Kingdom.
The Henley Company is also able to offer its clients the gift of time! Through our concierge and lifestyle management program, we are able to provide professional and personal assistance to our clients which ranges from errand services, travel coordination, gift and personal shopping services, entertainment arrangements, relocation services, to meeting and event planning.

Management
Nicole R. Matthews is Principal and Founder of The Henley Company, LLC. With over twelve years of direct event management and marketing experience, she has produced a long list of distinguished events for notable organizations such as: Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP, The University of San Diego, The Golden State Museum, The San Diego Gulls Hockey Team, YWCA, The Sacramento Kings – NBA Franchise, and Prudential Plc. Nicole works closely with her clients to turn every event into an extraordinary experience.
In 2000, following a career at the University of San Diego, Nicole was retained by Prudential Plc. in Reading, England as an International Consultant. While in England, she worked closely with the Management Team of the Prudential Ibis Club, Prudential Plc.'s Corporate Wellness Facility. While on staff, she developed and implemented a company profile and strategic marketing plan, crafted customer retention strategies, redesigned conference center marketing materials and consulted on an annual Fireworks Extravaganza for 3500 guests.
Following her work in England, Nicole was hired as Marketing Manager for Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP, San Diego's largest law firm. As Marketing Manager, Nicole managed major client and attorney events, public relations efforts and business development campaigns. In 2007, Nicole earned the CSEP designation (Certified Special Events Professional), the hallmark of professional achievement in the special events industry. The CSEP designation is awarded by the International Special Events Society (ISES) and its Certification Committee. It is earned through education, performance, experience, and service to the industry, and it reflects a commitment to professional conduct and ethics. With this accomplishment, Nicole is one of only 250 CSEP's worldwide.
Nicole is a 1996 graduate of the University of California, Davis (B.A. Sociology) and a 2000 graduate of the University of San Diego (M.A. Educational Leadership). In 2005, she received her Certificate in Event Management from the University of San Diego / George Washington University Event Management Program. She is the Vice-President of Educational Programs
for the International Special Events Society (ISES) San Diego Chapter, a Member of the International Concierge and Errand Association (ICEA), and a Member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI). Active in her community, Nicole is the San Diego Tour Coordinator for Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation's
Brides Against Breast Cancer Wedding Gown Sale. Nicole is an Associate Faculty Member in the Hospitality & Tourism Program at Mira Costa College, and has been a guest speaker for numerous professional organizations and educational programs. She is a 2007 ISES Esprit Award Nominee, an award granted to the best and brightest in the special events industry and a Women Who Mean Business Award nominee from the San Diego Business Journal.
